GameRankings has several reviews linked to their site . its looking pretty good so far for flashpoint over there in the UK .

here's alittle section of ActionTrip
's review of the game which might concern us about allied assault ...

quote:
The only drawback to the smoothness of gameplay in the single player game are the scripted AI routines, which can sometimes cause enemy soldiers to act def, blind, and stupid at close range. The idea was that (like in real life) the soldiers should look for you before they start shooting at you, which is just fine if you're 100m away and hidden in thick bush, but the concept doesn't work so well if you're standing 2m away from the tango and he's going prone to look for ya. Hello! Mister stupid soldier man! I'm right here! POP, POP, POP! No more mister stupid soldier man. Other than that, the "reds" can be pretty tough when they get set and start shooting at you from mid-range.

is this going to be a problem for AA . i'm sure if it is , it can be fixed through patches

Don't worry, even if the game will be like that, we wont notice it since the levels are not as big.

I played the demo and I wasn't too impressed, I'm sure it's just me...

Operation Flashpoint kicks ass, I got it the other day. Massive levels, the terrain is absolutely awesome, it looks so lifelike. Although what that review said is true, at mid range, 50 metres or more they are deadly mofos, the game is very hard, a few hits, sometimes only one and your dead. It's really a brilliant game.

You should definitely get Operation Flashpoint!!!!!
It is by far the best game I have. You are free to do almost anything you want.
I won't bore (or excite) you with the other details, but it really is amazing. Shame you guys don't have it over there yet :-)
