Default Using Autokick w/o Dedicated Server - 02-18-2003, 10:38 AM

Whenever I get a chance, I like to grab some of my friends together for some MoH action, and I'm usually the host since I have the better machine. What I'm trying to do is start a game that my friends can join by ip and I can also play on myself. I want to use Autokick to keep the high pingers and tkers out w/o having to constantly open the console. However, I can't seem to get Autokick to work correctly as I'm a total n00b with that program. I'd like to know how to set it up for my situation. Could someone please tell me how, or at least point me to a faq or something. I read somewhere it has to do with rconpassword and putting the seta rconpassword "password" in the server.cfg file. I have no idea where to find this file. Please help! Thanx

All of this can be done running a non-dedicated server, but if you have a cable connection, don't expect to have a lag free game with more than 6 people. The only thing questionable is using Auto-Kick. visit http://www.mohadmin.com for more information on how to set one up.

Default AUTO KICK - 02-18-2003, 12:57 PM

as for the sever. i run a 15 player server on cable with no problem. as for auto kick. youll need to create a config folder in your main folder. then youll need to create a server file to put into the config folder. then put the unnamed soldier file in the config folder along with the server file. when you start the game copy and paste your server file into your unnamed soldier file and save it. start auto kick..start the game..in the console type RCON PASSWORD XXX ...X BEING WHATEVER PASSWORD YOU CHOOSE. then hit enter. your auto kick will work fine. youll have to copy and paste the server file every time you start the game. for whatever reason it wont save after you close the game.the reason for all that is thats how auto kick communicates with the game. itll do exactly what your lookin for ...ive been runnin autokick on my server almost since it came out.

Or just make a private passworded server and only give your friends the password.
