man I was reading Enemy at the Gates the other day and it was describing this one part where 2 russians were under attack by a Stuka and one of them had molotov cocktails on his back , which caught on fire and kept exploding, his face melted away and the inside of his rib cage was visible. and the other guy could see his heart still beating

Man, that's a real descriptive writing. Kinda reminds me of the opening scenes from SPR with the flamethrower that explodes. But I mean, this is just a little more intense.

yeah joe you should read the first 30 pages, very good so far. that same guy who saw the molotv cocktail incident was captured by one of the nazi groups and he also saw one of his comrades laid out on a table with all limbs tied to pulleys, and they pulled his legs and arms off literally
