I believe casualties are something like this now..
2 in fighting near oil fields and a village near Basra
4 killed when their Hummvee were hit by RPGs in an ambush today.

Totals for accidents and combat is 7 American and 14 British in last report from CNN.

You forgot the Marines that died in the chopper crash, there was four I beileve. And there was a chopper collision today, with 1 american and 4 Brits I think. So your number is wrong...and I havent even heard about the RPG ambush.

You are right Vance I forgot about that one..its so hard to keep track of everything that is going on...
The 4 in the Humvees took place about mid morning/afternoon....They were traveling in 2 Hummers with 2 per vehicle when Iraqis fired RPGs at the Hummers destroying them...

I also I saw a video on CNN of a suicide car bomb that was set off in Iraq destroying a checkpoint and killing a TV news cameraman..The US said that it was done by an Iraqi terrorist group said to be linked to Al-Quaeda.

I hear a 101st officer has been arrested over the grenade affair.
I also heard that the ITN newscrew was fired on by allied tanks because they entered a combat zone. IMHO I think they got wasted by the allies and the Generals are covering it all up. If they were killed by allied tanks then it would be all over the news and the anti war freaks would have a field day.

I spose we will found out in due course.

It was some 101st guy, pulled the pin threw it into the command tent and shot the guys coming out, they got him in custody, found him hiding in a bunker wounded. And i thought the 4 3rd ID guys in the hummers died. |

I think this thread should be locked, since it is obviously abiding by the rules, but has been replied to by people who don't?

An ABC (Australian Broadcasting Commision) cameraman was killed by a suicide bomber driving a taxi cab, way up in the north of Iraq... near the border with Kuwait...
If anyone cares, I'll post the articles later...
