Why ? It's as ghey as the one I started. Oh, I forget: it's ok for you to post
stupid shit but people like me can't create topics asking legitimate questions,
am I correct ?
Bah.

Nice pc. I try to build mine so that they are upgradable. I built mine 6-8 months ago and I still have several upgrades before I even think about upgrading the mobo. I need another 512 stick of ddr3200, a replacement for my xp2200 when the 333fsb xp's get to a more reasonable price and a new vid card to replace my ti4200 when a game comes out that requires it, maybe doom3. Not much point in upgrading before i need it, prices are always dropping. And again, sweet pc.

Just a quick update:
Before I upgrade my PC, I wanted to get some benchmarks on it, that way I can see just how much I improved. So, I got my demo version of MadOnion.com's 3DMark2001 SE. Here's my scores:
LOW QUALITY TEST
===============
1024X768, 32-bit color
D3D Pure Hardware T & L
Frame Buffer = Double
Z Buffer = 24
Anti-Aliasing = None
Compressed textures
SCORE: 8302
HIGH QUALITY TEST
================
1280X960, 32-bit color
D3D Pure Hardware T & L
Frame Buffer = Triple
Z Buffer = 24
Anti-Aliasing = 2x
32-bit Textures
SCORE: 6036
These scores are generally low. I believe when I first installed my PC, with minimal software, I scored a low 10000.

So, you got Samsung, eh??
Are they generally labelled as a "good" RAM manufacturer??
I'm still stuck on what RAM I should buy.. im looking for a RAM chip that will give me stability and performance.
Thinking about going "Crucial", but they seem to be cheap. No offense to anyone who has it.

Samsung is a top brand. It's compatible with almost any motherboard. If you don't get Crucial, which is also good, get Samsung or Kingston.

Joe, how much did the whole thing set you back?
I'm one for upgrading a few components at a time but i've built 3 complete systems from scratch. Sometimes it's hard to upgrade one component at a time when you need a new Mobo & Processor. My next upgrade will be a 2.53 P4 and new Mobo to go with it. I'll pass my Athlon XP to my secondary machine.
The world is my urinal

Nice Joe, I just upgraded my 800 to a 1.67 Athlon XP for only $120. I plan on building more to my comp (new HD and Vid card), but god love this 768 DDR ram that came with it! Got to love that Pricewatch.com
