I dont know about you lot but i love milatary history, the battles, tactics and campaigns.I would really like the 1st person genre to do diffrent era's, its not that i dont like mohaa but all that fsp are either ww2, modern day or set in the future with laser guns and aliens.

I would love to see a game like mohaa set in one of the others:

American Civil War
Napoleonic War
American Revolution (American War of Independance)

i love this period and i love films set in these periods.... i like you all love machine guns and semi auto rifles but i also love muskets and early rifles, flintlock pistols... i love the noise that they make when tey fire and i love the formations like column and line which the armys take upand exchange volleys in... its a real test of soldiering and i think it would be great in a fsp, in a line of a bout 20 people against a french column of the Imperial Guard, Napoleons finest, firing volleys into them all the smoke and cannon fire would be great for a game.

look at the weopons you get to use:
Muskets
Baker Rifles
Flintlock Pistols
Swords
Bayonets
Cannons
the american civil war springfiled rifle and winchester
revolvers
American war of independance cherokee tomahawks and knifes.

The countrys involved
Napoleonic
Russia
France
Austria
Holland
Britain
Germany
Spain
Portugal
Italy
Prussia
Poland

american civil war
confederency
Union

Independance
America
Britain
France
Native american Tribes

the countless uniforms for models is endless, practically all of europe is involved, and america as well.

The maps wouldnt be as complex as ww2 maps but can be really good, either cobble streets or open fields with a forrest. a cannon on each side which can be operated to send a barage of fire into the enemy posistion, in the single player battles can be re done like waterloo, gettysburg, orktown, vicksburg, chatanooga, charles town and borodino.

you could be anything from a british green jacket in the rifle brigades to a german cavalry man in the german army against the french or a british marine on a battle ship during ther battle of trafalger... so much can be done if people just stary away from American against Germany ww2 or Aliens vs predators..... i would like to hear you r comments but dont if your just going to be rude.

Well I feel games like that real aren't designed for fps, they're more strategy games, but to have it in 3d like Myth or something would be cool

see thats why im saying all this, it seems to writen into the constitution that fps have to be ww2 or aliens etc...... these sort of games have been left to the strategy genre but someone should try it onto fps,it will get more people interested into history because more people play fps now witht thses new games coming out like mohaa, battlefield 42 and the new counterstrike game.

Its alomst as if saying that the evnts that happened in the 19th century downwards didnt have much impact, the Napoleonic war is compared to World War 2. someone rises to power from being a soldier becomes leader (emperor) takes his army a conquers europe and north Africa. Then he takes his massive army with not very good winter clothing then invades russia marching on moscow and gets beaten badly, retreats then the russians chase.

the allies including britain, germany, holland, prussia and belgium take back spain, invade france adn then beat the emperor in belgium when he launches his final offensive. now compare that to ww2 and its similar isnt it.

I want to see other games like these in the making, i mean you have mohaa, battlefield 1942... practiacally the sanme game america vs germany... cant people come up with something new.

sorry forgot to mention the u.s civil war kinda of abolished slavery and preserved the union. yes the black community wasnt accepteed (dont know why) for along time but the war was the biggest ever fought on american soil. more men from america died in that 4-5 year long war than in the whole of ww1 and ww2.

I don't think many people outside the US would want to play a game about the American Revolution or the Civil war.

why not the civil war, seyou complain about the u.s civil war but you play agame which is ONLY America vs Germany... i do belive that canada and britain a bit to do with it.

they di have muskets in the civil war but i would rather Napoleonic War. So many things to do for it, so many regiments and armys and countrys and great weopons.

but you play a game that implys that America thought germany by itself, same with battlefield 1942, im sick of it.... so americans would complain about a game outside of the US like Napoleon times.
