Exactly. They are not TNT-based or explosive-based weapons, they use standard gunpowder, and when they explode, much like C4, they make a pressured-based explosion, sending its contents showering outward. So, the frag grenade rips into metal peices (shrapnel) and tears through you. So I agree with Bishop.
