Sometimes this makes my stomach hurt a bit. Talk about brass!! Nothing but RESPECT whether they were at Omaha, Juno or wherever.

When the Allies land at Normandy, they gave names to different areas of the beach! I cant remember them all, But one of the areas that the Americans landed was called Omaha!(obviously )

Do a search for d-day and you will find out about it all!

yeah omaha, utah, juno, gold, and sword beaches were all code names to throw the Germans off, the High command though that the allies were planning to land at calais, which is the shortest point between england and france, so no actual location names were used.

Also, each beach was broken into different sectors. Like White/Red/Green. And of those three they had sub sectors.

I think in SPR movie they showed them landing in the Dog Green Sector of Omaha beach.
