There most likely are some rap artists out there. BUT, you won't find the amount of rappers overwhelming like in Europe or the Americas. Why you ask? You all know that the arab countries have "constricting" societies in which they live their life according to the Quran. I highly doubt the Quran talks about women and cars and bling bling $$$. Just a thought....

Well if you understood hiphop properly you would disagree with your last statement....What you're refering to is Pimp and Gangster rap.

There are plenty of African American Muslim Rappers that refer to the quran or Allah in many of their songs:

Brand Nubian
Jeru The Damaja
Gang Starr (Guru - Guy in my sig is muslim)
A Tribe Called Quest, were all muslims
I believe Talib Kweli & Mos Def are muslims
Shabaam Sahdeeq
Public Enemy (Mostly Chuck D)
Pete Rock & CL Smooth
Krumb Snatcha
Killah Priest

And many more that I just can't remember right now....

So if anyone has heard of any Muslim Rappers from the middle east that rap in Arabic, give me a heads up...

Yeah, I'm interested in finding some good arabic music. Anybody know the name of the lute-like string instrument they play? It sounds badass.

They were in the desert with an oil well in the background for the video. Does that count?
