I'm making custom crosshairs and and I was testing a green dot crosshair (how original) and it looked very nice. But then I aimed at a teammate (no, I didn't fire) and the crosshair switched to the stock crosshair.

How do you change that? (i.e. changing to a red dot instead) Is it just another image or does it take scripting of some sort?

if its for SH then there are several extra pk3's you must edit to change that. If that xhair was made for alliedassault then youll hafta take that tga, rename it and recolor it to fit SH. just browse through textures/hud in the mainta folder's pack1 (pretty sure its pack1) and find all the tga's with "crosshair" in the name. those are the ones you need to change.

In pak1 in the mainta folder, there's a file called crosshair_friendly. Is that the one I have to edit?

yeah issix said it, plus i just looked at my drunken post above and i said

"there are several extra pk3's you must edit " when I shoulda said

"there are several different TGA's you must edit. dummy me, just clarifyin tho.
