Maybe how I worded it makes it a little tough to understand. I meant when people play MP with the Pirate version (which they are doing), it will use this encryption. The guy who posted the word "Bullshit" in his post about 40 times and said the ISP won't release the info...guess what? I am a police officer and have numerous times gotten info from AOL, etc. on accounts. If they commit a crime, terroristic threats, credit card theft, stealing software, etc. the ISP HAS TO release the info because a warrant will be issued.
Some might say that EA wouldn't take the time to prosecute all the people they get. Think what you will and say what you want, but we haven't heard the last of this issue.

I doubt it's true...but I use Zonealarm like many others for my firewall. When I started up the sP demo, a message popped up asking if I would allow MOHAA to contact the internet....now, why would a SP demo need to, or attempt to, connect to the internet???

Lets say I have a warez of MoH.
It sends info to EA.
Now, how big are the chances that it will be treated in 12 days? Cuz I am gonna get this baby original no matter what.
So if a danish cop shows up when I have bought the full game, I just show him it. And then what?
Nothing.

Your logic is flawed. If a danish cop shows up when you have bought the full game, chances are he will present some facts about your illegal copy, which is a log saying that you've played the game on Jan 13 or 14 and what not. Now, prove to him that you've bought the full game on Jan 14, 2002.
I'm not saying that it will happen and once again I'm just too damn tired of warez discussion it seems like everytime a game is released it's bought up. All I'm saying is your logic is flawed.

Ok kids... Do you not remember when Eidos got sued for obtaining user info when a user was installing/playing one of their games. Same thing applies here. No info can be sent without the knowledge of the user. That's the law. I'm sure they wouldn't risk a lawsuit of that magnatude.
If you want to try it.. do what you have to do, but buy the game on the 22nd.

As long as they put it in the disclaimer, (you know, the one you click "I AGREE" on), they can do as they wish.
This brings me to a good point...
ALWAYS read the disclaimer

Guy's,
Lets get real. I use craked exe's for my games all the time. It saves wear and tear on both CD-Rom and the CD. If EA wants to come after me because I use cracked exe's, while I am the legal owner of the software in question. Then let them come and get me. I will enjoy embarrasing them and my ISP. The cinematics are just fluff in the game and not the meat and potatoes of it. The problem is that people use ripped or cracked copies of software and never buy the product. Some of us DO pay for it but, enjoy keeping the CDs in prime condition too. CHARGE AWAY EA!!!!

This is so stupid, there is no encryption going on. The only thing that would be different about the warez edition and the actual edition would be the size of the executible, for MP you'd have to go down to a local store, open a box and rape up the cd-key. Well that cd key would legit, there would be no way they can say that cd-key is not legit becuz EA would know that it is a issued registered cd-key. So if info was being sent out, which it won't unless EA or 2015 was actually hosting the games online, then they would determine that the exe loging on is size, example, 5.09MB and the actualy exe should be 4.95MB, hmm, this is wrong why? Could it be pirated? Maybe, or perhaps a no cd crack is being used which in case they can't do much about it. The only fight they have on pirated version is using the right cd-keys thats it, and if for some reason durring the instal it has to log on to a server and verify you're version then you know you're fucked, but RTCW was not like that so I doubt MOH-AA will either.
my 2 cents

Just for info to anyone who has downloaded the pirate version, EA has an encryption that contacts EA with your IP address when this game is in use. They simply contact your ISP, get your info, and then can file charges. Have fun playing .......

First, that's total bullshit, AND illegal.
I could sue them if they did that.
It's called a trojan, and besides, you could always just go offline and play single.

You're not a police officer.

You pay, you get privacy.
No matter what.
