				ECMOHDM6 - EyeCandy Map Preview -

Here is a preview of what is to come with the EyeCandy maps. I have successfully been able to heavily hex-edit the .bsp files to do some serious work on the maps. By doing this, I have been able to change lightlevels and models right in the map. But there is more. Get this. I have been able to hex-edit the .bsp in such a way that I can change the map's textures without that texture being changed in other maps. So, if the same texture that is used in Stalingrad is used in say Southern France, it will not be overwritten in Southern France. Basically we have achieved texture swapping per map in this version of EyeCandy. This is something that has never been done before. Hopefully it works out well.

Now, with that out of the way, here are 4 screenshots of ECMOHDM6 in it's early stages. Lightlevels, models, ambience and textures are being tested right now. I even went as far as to add animated clouds to the sky. Looking good so far.

Anyways, enough talking. Here are the screenshots. Enjoy.

Server Side sandbags over windows and shit would be nice.

I actually like this one. If its server side, if not then its a cheat

Version 2.0 will have it's own .exe file. You run the file to connect to an EyeCandy server. So everything will be server-sided and everyone will be seeing/hearing the same thing.

Regarding who is doing what. Me and Bruno decided to do individual maps on our own. So, I picked this one and have put a couple of hours into it so far. I plan on spending another week or 2 on it. We have decided to go more historically accurate, so that is why I am recreating Stalingrad in this way. The end result will amaze you. Thats what we are going for in 2.0.

Oh of course. Can't change that. But, in order to connect to a server running the new maps, you will have to use the new .exe file.

Also on a side-note. EyeCandy 2.0 is going to have it's own menu using Flash. So the old MOH menu will be tossed.

To clarify my previous statement. Yes, everything except the maps is clientside. But, in order to play the new maps, you have to run the new .exe. Hopefully this can clear up some confusion.

All of the maps are renamed with the EC in front and will be alongside all the stock maps in your maplist. So you can easily play any of the stock maps without anything changed to them. Oh, and there will be no naked chicks in this one. We are going to be doing a casual remake this time, so there will not be any crazy things like that anymore.

As of now we are projecting a compressed .zip file of 40 to 50 megs.

We are redoing all of the stock maps.
