Ah, I see. I used to like rap when I was in middle school. It didn't last long though.

Yeah, everyone seems to go through that phase. Only thing is you don't penetrate the surface of hiphop, to get to the real artists. Just the commercial artists.

I guess that's why everyone seems to look down on me for listening to it.

I really don't understand why that is, you know. I don't listen to rap music at all, but damned if I'm going to say that my musical preference is "better" than yours.

I'd say the closest thing to rap that I've listened to is the Judgment Night soundtrack. Man, I drank so much beer to that CD in university...heh heh.

I've got that CD....I forgot all about it. Looks like I've got some old times to catch up on when I get home today!

LOL.....I have some of the tracks from that CD.

But yeah, people do look down on me, ALL the time. At one point I was actually embarressed to go down to the local CD store and buy rap cds.

I don't care anymore. Fuck anyone that seriously calls me a wigger.

I would If I could....I don't think its possible to upload em' here.
If you WERE truly interested, you should check out the artists in my sigs.

You can check out these links...They have a wee bit of info on the subject, they still don't have all the kind of stuff I listen to, just some of the more popular artists of the sub-genres:

'Alternative' Rap (Note - It's called alternative when it pretty much IS real hiphop):

Conscious Rap:

Jazz Rap (My personal fav):

Underground Rap (If I listen to gangsta rap, it'll be from this catergory - more skilled lyricists):
