Localization error -
05-20-2003, 09:24 PM
WTF is this? I just setup a dedicated server. Then, I joined my dedicated server and got this message in the console right when I fired up MOHAA.
Localization Error: Mohaa console does not have a localization entry.
Never had this problem before I ran a ded server, now it happens all the time game starts. ANybody?

the localization file is the thingie that says where the character is shot when they die.
Try a reinstall.

Your not trying to host a dedicated server AND play MOH from the same PC, are you?

Actually Joe, I did. But this error also occurs now anytime. Does running this ded and playing on the same machine create this error? The only thing about the error that effects anything I can tell, I have to reset my mouse sensitivity every time I play, as well as turn on the console, and brighten things up a bit.

Hmm. . .well first of all, you can't run MOH both dedicated then play on the same box.
Second, try running the config.exe file in the MOH directory, then load the game, see if that helps any.

You say I CANT run and play on the same box, but I have. This problem isnt bad, but it just popped up. I think it has something to do with the server.cfg file I made to run the ded. Not sure.

LOL, yes you can run a ded and play on the same box.
Fire up a ded server from the console. Then fire up your MOHAA and enter your IP address and there you have it. OR, use gamespy, ase, or the in game browser. There your server is listed, and you can join it. Sorry to say you are wrong, but, you are...Ping is 0ms. I tried it because I do it in Aliens Vs Predator 2 for reasons of kicking, which is by far primitive conpared to MOHAA.
Tell me I am wrong again...
