Some of you people need more respect for others. -

Call this spam, I don't care. But some of you people need more respect for others. For example, when hp_124 was posting his M1 Garand, you all went crazy and started flaming him. And if you didn't noticed, he brightened up the picture, so that wansn't a real in-game pic. But geeze how would you like it if someone just came on here and dissed your skins and such? Even if you don't like it or think it's cool you could at least say ''good job'' or something, instead of making the person feel like shit to where he ends up quitting skinning because you guys make him feel bad. Or if you very much dislike it maybe suggeset some improvements on how to make it better, than rather saying ''mother f*cker blah blah blah'' and stuff like that. That's one this this forum really needs, respect, it could make that MOHAA community a lot better.

Its unfortunate, but Allied Assault.com now has a reputation for being a place which treats many people like s**t and so a lot of the MoH community now avoid it. There are many other community sites where people can show off their work and get the praise they deserve rather than being flamed

Yeah exactly, I get tired of all this you know. I am just now talking about this with a buddy of mine, telling me better places to go, which is probably the best thing to do. A lot of people here are mean spirited jerks, and I hate that kind of stuff. But you know, what can you do"

Accept the fact that the world isn't filled with perfect people that you dream up. Maybe the people here are to mature?
Criticism is always good. Something might be crappy as shit, and some mindless punk will say " WOW THAT'S GREAT," then the modder will release and get even the whole community, not just a forum telling him it sucks.
If you can't take criticism, don't post your work and just release it if you think it is flawless.

No you see there is a thing called good and bad criticism...it's not good to curse out and say you suck and everything to where it makes the person want to leave, that's not good at all. You can criticise people, but you don't have to do it in a mean way. Maybe like "That's alrigt, not the best, you should blah blah blah''.....not ''F*ck dude, that's f*cking stupid, you should just f*cking quit while your ahead''...see, there is a difference...

Well, I have yet to see someone cursing a chap out and telling him to quit while he is ahead. If that happens, it is done by someone already about to be banned, or a child. Ignore that person and continue modding, wihout little temper tantrams that one guy didn't like it. Oh well. As long as you like it.

Yeah I know I'm just saying, people can get this mean and it's stupid for them to do it. Respect is all I'm asking for people, not a hard concept to understand.

If someone releases something that is poor then there are better ways to tell them than telling them to F**k Off - which seems to be the standard message....

I've personally never told a newb customiser to fuck off (unless he ripped) but I feel these "novelty" skins are not needed. What we need are realistic skins, models, maps and animations. None of this Clown Mod shit.

Innoxx - different people want and like different things - I personally don't like the Clown skins either but you don't see me ranting and raving about them
T.Hunter -yeeeesss.....thats how teenagers get indoctronated into gangs not how people are supposed to be welcomed / treated by a community. Of course you get more respect if you can skin or model really well, but surely everyone deserves the respect of being treated like a fellow human being rather than some piece of filth (unless they come into these forums and just start spouting **** from the word go)

Unfortunately, I agree with you, Zach.
Surgeon, you may recognize me from the .map forums, we had a conversation once about someone wanting to put a certain kind of building in their map, and although we had a slight debate, we at least carried it out with respect to each other. I don't see why that isn't possible here. If you disagree with someone, that is fine. Hell, it is expected that there are going to be people disagreeing on message boards. But why does everyone resort to name-calling, among other childish things? Can't you talk it out logically with the person?
If I made a map and released here, I would naturally want positive feedback. However, you could point out errors or mistakes in something and it could still be positive. I consider positive feedback as something that will help me do better in the future. Flaming me won't help at all. If anything, I would probably get a little depressed over the fact that I spent alot of time on something only to have it shot down as being "teh SUXX!!!!1one" and "GHEY!" If you were to point out the person's errors in a respectful way, you'd be surprised how much they would appreciate it. They'll also probably come back with a more respectable, in which the MOH community benefits as well. Think about that next time someone releases something that isn't perfect.
