yo it happens to me to....i installed the demo from pc zone...and it makes u connect to the internet...so i got the one from pc gamer magazine...and it still makes u play it from the internet...very wierd..i don't know why man! don't matter. i don't care
Had the same problem. One simple solution is that everytime you want to play the demo, before you do, right click on the internet explorer icon on your desktop, choose properties, connections, check the box "never dial a connection" and apply. You are now free to play the demo without it bugging you to connect to the internet. Don't ask me why the demo otherwise asks one to connectto the internet. c'est la guerre.
Of course, you could say what the hell and just connect to the internet as instructed. Unfortunately, this takes up valuable system resources while playing the demo and is likely to degrade performance, especially given the recommended specs et al.
And remember to uncheck the box again after you're finished playing the demo & recheck the "always dial my default connection" , to enable default access to the internet & informative forums like this one, of course.
