The problem with the dedicated server is that when you use +set dedicated 2, or dedicated 1, that the game does not initialize Winsock the way it normally does. If you type "net_restart" on it, it does nothing. Type the same command on a working dedicated server, and it will re-initialize the networking. So it looks to me like they disabled networking code if you start with +set dedicated.

I'm really pissed about this. I'm using a legal version of the game... not only did I just pay $50 for a game and have to deal with annoying ass GameSpy ads, but the dedicated server doesn't work either. How many Dynamix developers did 2015 hire?!!?

 baxter

me being the consiracy theorist that i am i think they have a deal going with gamespy.

i think even gamespy knows how horrible their software is and this is a way to force people to buy it.

use the all seeing eye baxter.

i kinda agree it could well be
however i still feel that they simply buggered up

it just doesnt make sense to release a game that wont launch on the usual game server with shit gfx card and then not allow it to function from command line.

if you are right, then here will begin the pledge to make sure people do not by this half made game, as good as it is single player it will only last the few hours it takes to complete it.

It's probably a stupid ass bug.

It doesn't make any sense to not support the command line dedicated server. It should work even if it requires the CD-check. That's annoying as hell, but an inconvenient working server is better than none at all.

Sup madrebel... they say the patch is done already, hopefully it has the fix.

TF going to play MoH?

sKILLz and a few other wolfpackers love the game. once they fix the servers and ladders start up(me shudders at ogl) this game could be, IMO more fun than counter-strike.

check out the wolfpacc server tonight baxter @208.22.111.69 5pm-8am. I managed to scrounge up a tnt2 so this non production box could host. ugly work around but i need at least 1 solid server

I use the 2nd cd in my server and my disk 1 in my computer so I can have them both running.

hmmm ? seems to start ? what do you see ? a
dos box ? also try adding developer 1 to see
more info

drop the ui_ commands, you only need server
side commands for dedicated

place +set ui_console 1 at the front of
shortcut
