If the mauser was better then, why did we win?!

I own both of these rifles and-
If I run into a bunker full of amerikaners with a mauser, then i'm dead.. one round off, and I'm dead, but If I enter a bunker full of germans with an m-1.. then.. i'm still dead.... but.. I'll kill at least a couple due to SEMI AUTOMATIC FIRE

I should hope you can hit something at 40yds with the pistol, and 500 with the mauser. its accurate to 500 with iron sights, 950 with scope, at least.
