Hey all, i just bought a new Netgear Router at Best Buy, after hours of trying to install it on my own with my cable internet, i finally gave in and called tech support. Well i got it running, but now i cant get mohaa to use my internet IP address. It will allways boot up with my LAN address. I have tryed several things, but dont seem to get much for results. Can some one please help me out?

Try using the in-game browser to find a game. When you choose Internet game does it show you games to join? If it does, can you join a game now?

Look in the routers documentation to see if you can open ports to your game computer. Over at mohadmin.com you can find Dogmeat's Port Guide that will tell you what ports to open to your game computers private IP (192.168.nnn.nnn)

You may have to put your game computer into a "DMZ" (open to the Internet,not protected by a firewall) Zone

Correct. in my LINKSYS Router I had to go into the advanced settings and identify the 1 of 4 computers on my network that the DMZ Host identifies as the gaming machine capable of talking and receiving from the internet.

Not hard to do. Its in the manual

Ok, but which IP do i use for my port fowarding and my "DMZ" for mohaa to work correctly? M y INTERNET ip is 12.214.202.218 my LAN is 192.168.0.2 and my ROUTER is 192.168.0.1 which do i use guys?

If your game computer's IP is 192.168.0.2 then that is the IP you want to forward the game ports to. or place in the "DMZ"

Thats true. Whatever IP you see when you query your router that identifies your personal gaming machine is the IP you WANT to see in the DMZ slot.

Ok, now how do i get it to display in gamespy? I try to forward a bunch of ports that gamespy needs, but i get the same error when i load gamespy. It says gamespy has detected that your internal ip is different than your external ip and some other bullshit. ANd can someone log into my server now that it should be working.

Are you running a dedicated server or are you playing the game on the same computer?
If you are playing the game on the same computer you have to place the computer in the "DMZ".
To check GAMESPY you have to leave the game, and when you connect to GAMESPY your game isn't running.
If you run a dedicated server (1 computer that keeps track of all game data and syncs the clients) and play on another you would have another IP address like 192.168.0.3. you at 192.168.0.2 would join the LAN game at 192.168.0.3. 192.168.0.3 is in the "DMZ" or the same as 12.214.202.218 and would broadcast it's game info on the net to GAMESPY, TASE, Clanbase, kali, etc. Players would find your game at one of these services or with the ingame browser. If you are playing on the same computer that you host the game on start your game, run around for twenty min. Someone should find you.
