i assume you boys have played one or two of the "Close Combat" series?
i just downloaded the Invasion Normandy demo tonight/morning.

and i've played them before, man i love that game..... its not as up-close and personal as i would like..... its tactical... which i like as well *grin*

but man i like it... really gets going... lobbing mortars at the americans and having your panzers advance down the street... tearing into the footsoldiers like butter.
and man then when you get them really bogged down and you overrun them with a rifle squad... heheh knifey knifey!

im very tired, as can probably be seen.

hmm, what else was i gunna rant on about.

meh, that'll do for now

I started off w/ Close Combat2: A bridge too far. It was a good armchair general game, realistic enough but not too hard to learn, I really liked it. Skipped CC3: The Russian Front and jumped straight to CC4: Battle of the Bulge, didn't like it, they added a lot of annoying features that makes the combats drag on and on, so I didn't really pay attention to CC5: Invasion Normandy at all. Let me know how it plays I'd be interested to know

well... this might just be a different thing for every map/battle

but i found the demo map in Invasion Normandy quite abit smaller then the map in Russian Front... which i found way too big to take care of all across the front.

i dunno, i also didnt like the emphasis on amoured combat in Russian Front, i perfer the squad to squad stuff.... mind you its always fun to take out a troop using a Anti-Tank gun

muahahha
