Hello,

I have a question:

What is the difference between the
Geforce2 MX400 64Mb +tvout and the
Geforce2 Titanium TH 64Mb +tvout

The only difference I see is the price the titanium is 1.6 times more expensive

Go to sharkeyextreme or cnet to see the comparisons between the two cards... the Titanium is MUCH better in it's benchmarks therefore-the $$ difference.

define work? if at any time in your explination you say "i broke into an epeleptic<sp?> seizure from the slow frame rate" then i must consider your definition to not be valid.

as a general rule of thumb. the more expensive card is always better.

May be they are cheap at pricewatch but the places where they are cheap don't ship internationally. I found the titanium one at a Dutch store for 160 Euro and the other one (mx400) for 106 Euro

I do, thats why I bought a ti-200 instead of a ti-500, went with the gainward which has fast ram and it Oc's well, now I have it running a little bit faster than a stock ti-500 all for 1/2 the price.

Frost, I found your card the
Gainward CardExpert GF3 Ti200 64Mb + TV
for 259 Euro that's $222.22

Tell me if that's expensive or not

Or this one
Cardexpert Gainward GF3 Ti450 64Mb TV GS
for 271 Euro that's $232.52

either way youre buying a dated card. at least buy something that will give you some life(gf3 ti200). otherwise youll just be buying a new card in a few months because this one will be slow

I only used 3DMark2001 as an example of a benchmark, I never said that it was the be all and end all of benchmarks. You are hard pressed however to find a benchmark which does a better job of testing your Direct X 8 graphics subsystems including it's new OpenGL support. So it is a good overall benchmark, and generally a higher mark will translate into a higher frame rate in any 3d game including this one. Secondly, I find that rarely is the most expensive card out there actually the best! Generally the most expensive cards come from dealers with big names, and you're paying for the name painted on the box.
Example:
ASUS V8200 T5 PURE GEFORCE3 TI500 64MB DDR AGP $531.69
VISIONTEK XTASY 6964 GEFORCE3 TI 500 64MB DDR AGP W/ TV OUT & DVI RETAIL $497.28
The visiontek is $34.31 cheaper, even though the 2 card will run dead even performance wise.

And finally, last time I checked asking people knowledgeable on a subject was considered a valid form of research.
