Activists and advocates for the Haitian community will gather at City Hall Tuesday to denounce "Grand Theft Auto: Vice City," a video game they say is violent and racist, as well as dehumanizing to Haitians.
In a release issued yesterday, the Haitian Centers Council and Haitian Americans for Human Rights said Manhattan-based Rockstar Games Inc., which made the game, and its parent company, Take 2 Interactive Software Inc., "advocate the killing of Haitians as entertainment."
"Players are instructed to kill all Haitians, who, in the video game, are stereotyped as thugs, thieves and drug dealers," the release said.

Funny how we're used to these kind of games now, in fact we got used to them a decade or more ago with wolfenstein, etc.
If some high-up dude in the states said:
"Players are instructed to kill all Americans, who, in the video game, are stereotyped as thugs, thieves and drug dealers"
the U.S would prolly say ".....And?"
J00 ain't been to tha h00d brotha.
Well neither have I but I seen 'Boys 'n' the Hood' ya know and..

I'm considering taking up the position of spokesman for all of the ducks in America in our crusade to stop Nintendo from selling any more copies of Duck Hunt.

I know that all WWII games get censored in Germany, they take all pics of Hitler and swastikas out. If you download the free version of Hidden and Dangerous you'll find plain red banners in place of the Nazi one and pics of some nerd (maybe dev) in place of Hitler

We got the 'Censored to shit' Version. However, if you know the right people, you can get the US Version. The Australian Office of Film and Literature Classification needs to have a good hard look at themselves, and stop treating the population like idiots

seriously, i hate the way parents and people who take offense to a game they probably have never played and try to get it censored or banned. if i dont like something, im not going to crusade against it just because of my morals. i vote for pro choice, but i wouldnt get an abortion myself. this is like those kids and parents who tried to sue mcdonalds because they were so fat.

Actually, i exaggerated a bit before. The only real discerable difference in our one is if you beat the tar out of the hookers after "using" them, you don't get your money back
