Default help in reinstalling game please - 09-02-2003, 12:30 PM

I just messed up me mohaa and spearhesd files, server kept crashing, so I
tried to uninstall, but the uninstall dosent actually do anything, it wont
even let you reinstall, so I cannot play, I heard somewhere that there is a
registry key you can delete that will let you reinstall.

please help someone or I will have to format

davey..go to your install shield folder in c:/program files and remove the mohaa instance. you may have several different folders. open each .ini in each folder until you find the mohaa ini. than delete that entire folder that mohaa resides in. than try it again.

Get RegClean (or some other registry cleaner) and run it. Hopefully it'll remove any crap that the uninstall left behind.

I'm stumped.

Try asking this over at mohadmin.com...you might get some help there.

yes there is a reg entry as well. i found the ini's to be linked to the reg files of course...hence deleting them negated the reg entry. either way..but i fogot a clue

you have to enable hidden files and folders in order to see this folder in program files. sorry for forgetting about that guys. my bad

As soon as I find a reliable host for the RegCleaner program, I will make a new tutorial for both Spearhead and MOH:AA on uninstall/reinstall.

Davey............this should fix ya
In This case, you will need to go into the system registry and remove a few registry keys. Be very Careful when doing this. Make sure you follow the instructions completely.

1. Delete the games directory. By default this will be C:\Program Files\EA Games\Medal Of Honor Allied Assault. Then delete MOHAA from the start menu as well. By default this is Start->Programs->EA Games->Medal Of Honor Allied Assault

2. Now load the registry editor. Go to Start -> Run -> type in "regedit" (without the quotes).

3. There is a registry folder that causes this and must be removed. It is found in:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\Uninstall\

You must then select and delete the folder name below found in that above location:
{0DEA94ED-915A-4834-A87E-388D012C8E02}

Delete this folder, then close the registry editor, and reinstall the game normally.
