In hockey you can go many periods easilly without someone getting a goal.

It is much easier to score in lets say football than Hockey, so thats why they allow ties.

Owners and coaches do not want to see their players tired after playing a game to 3 in the morning and having to play the next day.

Football has what an entire week off?

Baseball is not as physically demanding as hockey. You get alot mroe tired out in hockey.
