OK, I am stuck here. You're supposed to be focussing on the other tanks with your binoculars. I do, and the artillery takes a damn long time to knock them out. I dispose of the krauts that try to sneak on me alright, but the binocular thing just doesn't seem to work right. My King Tiger gets knocked out on the bridge each and every time. Oh, yes, I have tried both vintage points, left and right of the river bank - no discernible difference.
Compared to SniperTown, this was actually fairly easy. No need to cheat.
Remember, there is a several second delay with the air strikes - your commander even reminds you. When you call one in, don't aim directly for a moving tank _is_, aim for where it _will be_ when the strike comes in. You'll knock out the tanks on the run.
Enemy tanks only appear in two spots, so it's easy to scan back and forth between them. As soon as you see a hint of a tank, call in a strike. As soon as you call, arm a gun, whirl around and make sure no Germans are coming up behind you. Get right back to the window and call in strikes. Repeat. Easy as pie.
Guess it's a matter of trying and trying. At least when I get whacked, I am eager to try again. But this is more of a boring exercise - binocular action, and see the damn tank's health wilt time after time... thanks for the suggestions, I'll keep trying...
Well, I am about to give up and cheat, 'cuz this is tedious now. My approach: when they say "avoid the bridge from getting blown up", rather than doing it from the top of one house (the one on the very left, or the one on the right, haven't tried the one where you have to climb up the ladder yet), I run over the bridge and knock 'em out with the Thompson. Then they tell you to do the binocular thing, and I take refuge sort of on one of the houses on the left. excellent vintage point, but you tend to get hurt by the bombs your own people throw. Whether this damages the transmission equipment I don't know, but the airstrikes do not knock out the Tigers in time, my tank get invariably blown to bits...
