the man made a career on 3 chords. Hardly underated. He deserves no more nor less.[/quote:c4d7d]
i mean underrated in my expierience
most people i know dont know who he is
"The Earth was quakin'! the walls were shakin'!
...my balls were breakin' and WE WEREN'T FAKIN' baby, YOU!...SHOOK ME ALLLLL NIGHT LONG....YEAH YEAH YEAH YOU!!... SHOOK ME ALLLLL NIGHT LONG..." rock:
It's like rappers doing "freestyle" battles: they have hundreds of rhymes
already prepared and they just try to mix'n'match appropriately and hope
it falls into place properly. Your guitarist probably experimented with many
different combinations and added them up together in an sensical order.
Still, it takes a lot of talent to do it so props to them! rock:
of course trey knows the usual scales, progressions, etc
i play guitar, and i know of a fair amount, but it doesnt mean anything if you cant put it all together
plus his guitar is a custom made work of God himself; the hollow body of the guitar is made so perfectly, it gives him the power of unlimited sustain on harmonics and high notes, so he can make cool noises while he decides what to do next! rock:
check out nugs.net for some free phish and other jam band shows...i like moe. the most personally, if anyone knows of them.
