Give it time. When they release the SDK (software development kit) or map editor. You'll see lots of new stuff. There already plenty of new skins available on the front page of this website.
BTW There are 2 other MOH games coming soon.
Come now, Clancy. Surly you know that a game this new will have LOTs of new things. Unless it is like Battle of Britain or any number of other games with promise, where the company goes out of buisiness. Or better yet, the company sells it lock stock n barrel to some other company who then does not develop it and basically says FU to the users.
But I would bet this will have a pretty long life and lots of offical add ons later, and a lot of home made mods too.
Ummm, Die Fledermause, the chances of EA dropping from the game-maming business anytime soon are virtually nil. There are no bigger game producers on the planet than Electronic Arts.
To answer the original question, MOH:AA will have plenty of new maps and skins and assorted goodies to last a decentwhile. Will they be official? So says EA, but even if they scrap the idea of an expansion (my money is on one being in a more than fifty-percent-finished state right now) the users will create plenty of tweaks and add-ons for the game. That's the beauty of PC gaming ... even the lousy games tend to get established online communities who kep the game alive. I was a big fan of the PSX version and prayed for a PC version for that exact reason.
Well I dont know about 2015 but EA kinda worries me. They rarely update their games and if they do, they release only one patch and thats it. Maybe you can enlighten me on games they really support for long time. Only EA games I bought are the sport games and the Need for Speed games which should of been patched to work with 2k or XP. But they still haven't so there is a perfect example of the support. I hope they will be flexible like Sierra is with Valve and supporting their communtiy with free addons and support for mod makers.
I hope I am wrong but I think EA will want 2015 to start working on the expansion packs, and try to milk it like they are doing with the Sims, instead of releasing a couple more of free MP maps that we can play.
I know this is a dumb question, but has ANYBODY heard ANYTHING lately about when the SDK might be released? Last I heard it was gonna be about a month, and that was 3 weeks ago.
If any of you out there have played CFS 2, look how many mods and how far that game along in the last year. Most of that free add-ons from users. I would like to see MOH go that route, but with EA doing their share too!
