I used bryce more for 3D landscapes, not weird twisty abstract thingies.

yeah it is really gor for landscapes
there is a plugin for bryce made by metacreations that lets you do some really awsome landscapes

But I have G-Max and Blender.
I would not recomend G-Max , unless you are very familliar with 3D programs......
