Noticing that previous skins with color in them were frowned upon by some members of this board; here are a couple skin mods allowing for a less "glowing" review:

actually.........with Hobbs & Cobra crew's permission, I could take the city nights final map (just the city nights map) and change some of the textures of the walls to look "digitized", throw in a couple matrix skins and darken the sky. hell , there's allready a phone booth on the courtyard wall.
better yet, what about changing the billboards to read phrases from john carpenter's "they live" (the roddy piper bad but yet good sci-fi movie about aliens that took over the world without us knowing and keep the human population "asleep" with subliminal messages..........pre matrix ?) like "sleep" "obey" etc...

shows my age lol. anyways.........i did a quick mock up off the original city nights map.

it's just a matter of pulling out the right textures and layering them with whatever ( i had to "fake the facade siding on the buildings due to the city nights map using textures from the original mohaa maps but the signs were actually replaced)
if anyone can suggest a smaller map that has texture files for the following: walls, ground & sky, i could throw together a matrix styled map
or if someone wants one i'm sure i could find a map with the texture files i need.
if someone decides to do this other than myself; just make sure you texture the different walls and ground as much as possible (different shades of darkness for different walls etc) otherwise you'll be running into walls and doors like in a mirrored funhouse.

i could make the walls move but when i finally tested using .gif instead of .tga or .jpg images for skin mods yesterday (had a skin who's t-shirt would "flipbook" through various Eva Mendez pics) the .pk3 wouldn't "read" the .gif images.
I think even if one could create animation on the map, averaging at least 20 minutes of play would strain both the server, client's cpu and anyone's eyes.
I"m proably going to try and find the stand alone mod of Saturday Night Fever since it has it's own ground, facade and sky images and see what can be done. however, i'm just the idea guy; i'm VERY limited to what i can do so the guns would have to be skinned by someone else.
i'll keep yaz posted.
