Kelly's Heros
Big Red One
HeartBreak Ridge
The Longest Day
Von Ryans Express
Good Bad & the Ugly (civil war)
Glory (civil war)
Memphis Belle (just for the air sequences, FF through the plot)
Bridge too Far
and My Blue Heaven (no not a war movie but I can't stress the need for that comedy enough !)
Ahh yes, thanks for the suggestions all, I meant war movies made recently (say, 1990-Present), since I've seen plenty of old war flicks (my uncle lets me borrow em whenever I want till I get bored of them + my dad has a lot.)
And yeah I've seen BOB when it first came out on DVD, and I'll probably look into buying it once I'm in the mood to save up enough money.
Thanks for all suggestions so far beer:
ps. thanks for reminding me about Glory phil, I love that movie; I havent seen it for ages...
Was it just me, or was Gods and Generals really long and drawn out?
yeah, it was kinda stupid how he kept refering to God the WHOLE DAMN MOVIE. I don't care if he was religious...just don't all that crap in a movie when people want to see limbs blown off. biggrin:
I just said it cause it was a war movie. I didn't really like it that much. I give it a 5 out of 10.
