Religion is the last great obsticle for mankind.

Prior to science people needed an explination for the events in their lives, and religion became a comman practice. There was no enlightened vision or great message written by mystical gods, it was simply names given to ancient reasons and explinations.

There is no reason to believe that any religion is correct not to mention superior to another religion. Great men have changed history and diserve their place in our hearts and minds, no doubt....but to pray to them or worship them is just insane. Would you join a religion if it were based on Abe Lincoln? We are meant to learn from these people and embrace their teachings, not teach our children that talking to them before they go to bed will solve all their problems.

It has long been my belief that religion is obsolete. I am not athiest, I do not believe in nothingness, I do believe in a higher spirtual power, but I believe that power is individual, not universal.

Perhaps in time we will out-grow our need for a man with a book to tell us what is right and wrong......I fear if we cannot, we will undoubtably destroy each other for the sake who's god is superior.
