For which team deserves it more, I had to think about this for a while. It all depends on how you define it.

Through the playoffs: The flames deserve it more. They beat the top three seeds in the West, including the Presidents Trophy Champions. That is the first time ever a team has beat all three divisional champions in order to get to the Cup. Clearly, Calgary had the harder road to the Cup, as well as battled major injuries through out the regular season and the playoffs. Tampa hardly had any injuries at all.

As for the past couple of years, Tampa has made strides to get here. They were in the playoffs last year, and this year improved on that. So i'll give them that. However, i'm not going to say this years Flames team is a fluke. Many of our current players were from the rebuilding years after '96. I really believe Sutter and the additions he made was the final piece to this team. I don't think it's an overnight success, and I do think they've worked very hard to be here.

As for players, you can say Anderychuck deserves it, but you can say the same for Lowry.

Without bias I can say that I belive Calgary desreves it more.

But it doesn't really matter who deserves it more, it's about who wins the next game.
