When I played on my 900mhz computer with a Nvidia Vanta 16mb on board video, there was a lot of fog on all maps. Then I upgraded to a 2g Athlon with a Mx-400 64mb video card and cut that fog considerable. I then upgraded to a FX-5200 128mb card and cut the fog even more. I'm pretty sure that the lower end cards show more fog to cover their inability to render the entire picture.

I used to have a very shitty comp. It also has a lot of fog on all maps. Im pretty sure it was my graphics card. I guess try and buy a new one.
