assigning to bones can really fuck you up you should bind.

powell is right. Assigning can cause warping of skins and or meshes under animations. Bind Bind Bind.

instead of clicking assign bones click bind skin then where it says root bone next to it should say pick click that then choose the correct bone.

if u have the correct lightray3d plug in u can just go to import than change the filetype extenshions that lightray can see like all types than see what u can import ....hope i help
