2015, I recommend using a multi-colored crosshair ala Global Warfare (mod for Half-Life).
Only one part of the crosshair can be seen depending on where you're aiming..
For example : your crosshair (in, let's say, Counter-Strike) is white. When you aim in a direction where there is alot of white / pale colors, you tend to have trouble seeing the crosshair. I recommend it be made of several colors (vertical and horizontal line made one color, diagonal lines another) to get rid of the problem.
Of course, aiming with the weapons' sights would be fun

I think it would be easyer. Ready the weapon with a button to bring it to your shoulder, and then right click to look down your sights.
It's kind of like WWII online, but a little faster. It always seems the way the weapons are postitioned now are like the buttstock on the weapon is choped off and the trigger group and your hand is implanted in your shoulder.

Yeah, that would be cool, also, and this is subject to criticism, when the crosshair is on an enemy's head, the crosshair is a bright red, torso-orange etc, though this sort of thing really belongs in sci-fi shooters like halflife

That's a good idea, but it HAS to be optional, other wise people in the "shoot everything that moves" crowd won't buy the game. That group is a BIG chunk of EA's sales. I doubt we will see this in the game, but it would be great for a MOD.

Actually it seems more like your facing straight foward and have the rifle or whatever under your armpit and trying to get a shot off based on the idea that, if it looks like it's gonna hit that little fucking bitch ass whore son of a cocksucking faggot mother fucker ass ramming... WHAT?? Where am I? Oh, yeah... then you will. If you can understand what I'm trying to say here, then go buy yourself a drink, because you're doing better than I am.

Why have cross hairs? Did American and German soldiers have a contact put into their eyeballs before going into battle so they know which way they are facing. And Where their weapons are centered?
It's all about the Iron sights....

Waffen...it's also about the playability of the game... if you dont want to use cross hairs turn them off, but if they dont have the option of using the rifles like in Operation Flashpoint/looking down the iron sights it's gonna make for a very hard game.
If they do put in cross hairs I'm hoping they will resemble the iron sights if you were looking down them, and when moving around and looking at different colours, when the cross hair cant be seen it changes colours automatically so it can be seen, or just brightens or darkens ? Is this possible ?
