Thats what I play now...but I also enjoy current games such as the Delta force series and Im looking @ BF2 when it comes out.

halo2 was cool but too complicated for my taste. i like the original alot! yesterday my friend picked up halo2, but we had a huge halo (the first one) LAN game and it was awesome. then we switched over to halo2 and found the guns and vehicles were cool but the shield only wasn't good, the maps complexity was too disorienting and it was hard to find my our way around, and the sword was pretty bad with a one hit kill there was no 1 that didnt use it. plus they changed the assault rifle to burst fire, wth is up with that?!

anyway to sum this up, halo2 was good but was expected to be better. i prefer halo over halo2 for now.

It's an xbox setting, not a halo setting. I just figured this out since mine was the same. Apparently the tv was set to widescreen, which mine is not. So that might be your problem, if you haven't already got an answer for this. I dunno, I didn't really read the rest of the thread. dance:

This is one of the most unoriginal shallow games I have played in a long time. For one thing, haven't they been showcasing how this game is supposed to take place on earth? The first Halo started to become very redundant towards the end but it still was an enjoyable game because the story kept it going. In Halo 2 there really is no story, except you have to fight the same aliens again and do the same exact thing you had to do in the first game.

I am playing multiplayer with friends and it's ok, but I buy games usually for the single player and boy was this a big letdown.

And the ending? There is no ending, the game ends and you just sit there wondering why you just played this game.

First Doom 3 and now Halo 2, can't wait for Half Life 2.


PS- They spent all that time on the E3 demo where you are on earth fighting the aliens and none of that happens in the game. I think they probably tried to make this game too big and ended up scrapping a bunch of ideas.

You buy games just for SP well thats your first problem. What keeps games alive now-a-days? MP. The sp is good, better graphics, did you do it on easy or legendary? Since the ending is the way there is, there will probably more likely to be a Halo 3. If you payed some detail to the E3 part and the game part some of the real game is part of the e3 but different parts still the same area still the same road.

And repeat of the last? I dont really see any repeat, only thing is that you go on another halo ring. but meh, still a good story I thought and a good game.

Halo 1 is better then halo 2. Except the muiltplayer.
I'd rather play halo 1 co-op then halo 2 co-op. But it's a nice change.

I have a ps2. I like my ps2, better then a xbox. But, i played this game at a friends house, and it makes me want an xbox...bad. This game is fun as fuck, I played with 3 other guys MP. Amazing times.

The single player story is a load of crap, and It did dissapoint me, BUT, the gameplay is still increadibly topnotch, especially on the harder difficulties. The level design does get repetitive, but every time you play through a section, the enimies do something different. There is a lot of variety, mabey not in the levels, but in the gameplay, where it counts, there is more than enough variety.

And the multiplayer on X-Box live is absoulutely awesome. It is addictive. It is great. The best multiplayer game I have ever played.

Whether you liked it or not, I think Halo 2 was a good decision for microsoft, how many copies were sold befor it even released?? (preorders) The game's success was garunteed before it even shiped. Garunteed money=Good business decision.
