Rugby > Every Other Sport > American Football

football(American) > Rugby.
Full Contact with No Pads, No Helmets > Full Contact with pads and giant helmets.

Plus it pisses me off how football plays go for like 5 seconds each before you wait another 5 minutes for another play.

Once again, Rugby > American Football.[/quote:dcb8d]

is that how you figure out which sport is better ? pads ? get a fucking clue.

Music = Art, Sport = Sport.

Obviously it's not. Just shows that American Football is for pussies. Rugby is just as violent, if not more and no pads are worn.

The fact that Rugby is faster paced, and requires more out of the human body than Foozeball makes it more fascinating to watch, in turn making it overall a better sport.

*sigh* we've already had this conversation about wearing pads makes you a pussy. I played tailback in high school, and I experienced two high ankle sprains, and one major ACL tear. I had two teammates break their hips, another break his leg, one dislocate his shoulder, another dislocate his elbow, and countless other injuries. If anything, I would say it's moronic to wear no pads at all, and to be honest, I wouldn't want to be a gimp by the age of 28.

its psychological, the hits in football are harder, naturally. Its just how the game plays out. I've personally fucked up my ankle for life, i can't jog on the thing on solid ground. It's just he doesn't understand, because he has no idea what he talking about.

PS, 2 of my uncles were all province champs for ontario, they went to england to play as well . I also played last season for our schools team, and I watch your beloved black shirts when I see them on Fox Sports Canada.

Dude, don't be pathetic by just stating "pyro was right," when you know nothing about what he was talking about. That's an entirely different topic, and you obviously know nothing about it, so stay out of it.

Now, instead of simply stating "you know nothing about football then" as your rebuttle, why don't you explain yourself. I mean, I explained why I think its a sport for pussies compared to Rugby.

What a bunch of pussies - I played first 15 rugby for literally my entire school life, never played with pads, except at high school level when you're required to wear minor should pads - Which are fucking nipples compared to the giant pads gridiron players wear, and we were only required to wear them because of the major impact on the shoulders in a scrum. - I only experienced minor injuries the entire time I played, cuts, bruises, a few minor dislocations and pulled heaps of muscles. I just don't understand why you guys need pads for that sport. If anything, I think they'd inflict more damage.

I used to play hockey too, and can understand why pads should be worn in a sport like that, where you're moving twice as fast on a surface ALOT harder than grass.....So I'm not totally ruling out the use of pads in sports, I just think it's silly that these guys gear up so much to play a sport like that and then they're depicted as tough-guy soldiers. Just makes them seem like pussies compared to some of the rugby fellas I've met.

[quote="Short Hand":f5db2]its psychological, the hits in football are harder, naturally.[/quote:f5db2]

I really hope you don't mean the hits in football are harder than in rugby, because that is just fucking silly.....

What makes you think I don't what I'm talking about?

Whoop-dee doo - I've played rugby almost my entire life, I've had at least 4 people in my family history play in the All Blacks (Not the fucking "black shirts" - Yeah, I'm sure you've watched my beloved team play plenty of games. rolleyes: )

You can't change my opinion on this - Maybe we should just agree to disagree.

thats what makes me lose interest in it so fast.
wtf its 40 seconds between a play maximum. you guys have the attention span of a gnat.

ps...this is a gay ass rule if Ive ever seen one in the cfl.

Article 8: Crowd Noise
The Team A captain may request the referee to stop the game if excessive crowd noise prevents Team A from putting the ball into play. The referee may permit Team A to return to its huddle. The referee shall allow reasonable time but under no circumstances shall the play be delayed more than three times.
In the event that the home team permits in its stadium the use of either electronic equipment or high volume loudspeakers when the visiting team is attempting to put the ball in play, with the result that the game is delayed, the home team shall be subject to penalty for delay of game.
Penalty: L10

Ooooooo be quiet...you guys are so loud I cant talk to my team...stfu you pansy.

Nyck, don't knock Canadian football if you've never seen it. It's actually pretty good and I don't even fucking like football.
