Default Lean / Strafe Scripts - Poll! - 08-10-2002, 05:55 AM

Hi all, I would like to know what you ppl think of the lean/strafe scripts which have been around for some time now in Mohaa. This poll is NOT about using a lean key at a corner or so - Only lean+strafe key bindings!

I use a 5 button mouse with the side buttons for lean right and lean left. I use these to peek around corners or peek from cover.

I find it just as easy to kill someone when they lean/strafe as if they were just strafing!

i binded my lean+strafe together and it has its advantages and disadvantages.

pos + enemies have hard time hitting you
+ impossible to hit when enemy is trying to snipe you

neg - worse accuracy with guns
- hard to aim with rifles and sniper rifles
- can't lean around corners

i find the pos overrule the negs... yeah so.... i have a 3 button mouse... 3rd is wheel.... i want a joystick for bf42... getting offtopic.... i love rudedog.... whoops..

That shouldn't be a problem if you assign one pair of keys for lean and strafe, and another for just leaning. I have 2 keys assigned for lean/strafe, 2 for lean, and 2 for strafe.

what I find is that leaning+strafing really only works when you're running straight at a sniper. Boy do they hate me for it too! I don't use a script, I do it all manually on my keyboard.

Lean-strafe doesn't make you any harder to hit. I play as a sniper when the aa.com server runs the hunt and I have no problem taking them down. It accually makes them easier to spot.

yeah, when someone is leaning here and there, your eye catches the odd movement in the brush or something. In agreement, much easier to spot.

It's only hard to hit leaners if your new to FPS's. In which case, I still lean manually so as to avoid them.

I agree, leaning doesn't present a problem to me, especially with the MG. Aim below the neck and shoot into the lean (aim a little to the left or right depending on the direction) and it's lights out.

i have to press two buttons with one finger to lean and strafe right... :-?

as to hitting them it depends. when u have an smg and u always go for the head shaking side to side its easier cause u arent just hitting head.. ur moving the crosshair along their head and upper torso, but when the guy starts leaning side to side thats hard as hell i find.
