The Industrial Revolution occurred during the 18th and 19th centuries, but primarily in the 18th. It covered technologies like steam power by coal, and machinery primarily used in textile factories. The technology was limited.
When we hear "Industrial Revolution," we automatically think of the Second Industrial Revolution, the one that occurred during 1871-1914. This is the revolution that began many industrialized methods that we know today. People like Nikola Tesla, Edison, and others invented new technologies during this time.
The question should specify, because technically 20th century is not wrong so to speak.
