Is he using Windows, and if so, when he changed the M/B did he reinstall windows. Often a new M/B without reinstallation causes major aggro especially Windows 2000.

1.Make sure his nic and video card are not sharing IRQs. Look in the general discution forum for tips on checking IRQ and shared resources.
It looks like his Nic and video card are sharing. If you were getting this problem in SP also then it would be something else.

2. From EA's MOH:AA FAQs

[code:b7614]Q: When starting the game, the Windows auto-dialer starts and freezes or crashes my game. Why is this?
A: If you are experiencing a freeze or crash while starting a game, it may be due to a conflict between the Windows auto-dialer and Medal of Honor Allied Assault. To alleviate the problem, you should set up your computer to never automatically dial an internet connection. Please follow the steps below.

Note: After completing these steps your computer will no longer connect to the internet automatically. You will need to connect to your internet service provider manually whenever an internet connection is desired.

Windows 98 users:
1) Click the Start button.
2) Select Settings and click Control Panel.
3) Double-click Internet. The Internet Properties window appears.
4) Click the Connections tab.
5) Select "Connect to the Internet Using a Local Network".
6) Click OK.

Windows 98 SE and Windows ME users:
1) Click the Start button.
2) Select Settings and click Control Panel.
3) Double-click Internet Options. The Internet Properties window appears.
4) Click the Connections tab.
5) Select "Never Dial a Connection".
6) Click OK.

Windows XP users:
1) Click the Start button.
2) Select Settings and click Control Panel.
3) Click Network and Internet Connections.
4) Click Internet Options. The Internet Properties window appears.
5) Click the Connections tab.
6) Select "Never dial a connection".
7) Click OK.[/code:b7614]

Good luck
