I don't know about the rest of you, but I think that it is definitely bad for countries like N. Korea and Iran to have nuclear weapons. These are countries with radical governments that oppress their people, stifle freedom, and have an axe to grind with neighboring countries.

Does that mean that an alliance should be formed and bombing/invasion should commence? Not in my opinion. But, diplomacy and economic isolation should definitely be used to coax these countries into doing what is right, that is not developing nuclear weapons in an age when superpower countries are no longer proliferating these weapons.

If you are of the opinion that the world should sit by and let any country that wishes to develop nuclear weapons do so, then you need to get your head out of the sand. Hell, even China (N. Korea's only ally) is trying to bring the N. Koreans back to the negotiating table.

I shudder at the thought of N. Korea lobbing a nuke at either S. Korea or Japan or the Iranians tossing one Israel's way. If that ever were to happen, Iraq is going to look like a picnic.

My two cents.
