Default Mouse/Keyboard problem. - 03-13-2005, 11:00 PM

Hey guys, I recently bought a Microsoft Wireless Optical Mouse 2.0...and the mouse wheel scroll speed in game is too fast, I've tried lowering the speed but, still the damn thing moves too damn fast in game!

Now to the keyboard..sometimes during a game I could be strafing and all of a sudden my W key wont work for an instant I have to press it twice to make it work. It's a Microsoft Wireless comfort keyboard 1.0a....

If anyone knows a solution, please help. Thanks.

I don't trust that wireless jank.

Well since you seem to only have problems with specific things such as the 'W' key I'd say it's a hardware problem and your best bet is to try and return it for another and see if the problem presists.

edit: about the mouse, i'm not so sure about that.

Ok the wireless mouse u can usually adjust In Control Panel -> Settings -> Mouse. The keyboard problem sounds like it could be A) dirty or B) IR interference which could be caused by the mouse since it sounds like theyre 2 different modules, when it is recommended u get a packaged deal mouse and keyboard, this prevents the interference from eachother. However, other home appliances can cause the same problems. IR laptops remote controls etc. A good way to check it to use a a video camera with IR nightshot. Turn off the lights and look for blinking lights around the room.

Hope this helps
