Doom 3 on Xbox - Page 3

Im not getting it 'till the summer, though. I wanna save up for a new vid-card, and a new mouse (Dont have a job..allowance)...

...and you being the techie, really off-topic, but I only have a PCI slot in my computer, no AGP or Express, so Im always behind on the current tech (Im always surprised they even make cards for PCI) and was deciding between a PNY GeForce FX 5500 128MB and a BFG GeForce FX 5500 256MB Overclocked. The BFG obviously seems like the better deal, but its $55 bucks more, and its the same tech, only one with more memory...is the extra memory worth that $55?

The card would probably be too slow to make use of 256 megs of ram.

Definitely.

Not to mension they put the shittiest RAM in lowend 256mb cards.

I played at 8:30ish here. By then, it's already pitch black. I shut off all the lights, ontop of playing in a basement. And my cousins have this big ass stereo and a huge [atleast 40, possibly 50in. flatscreen.] tv. All while I was in the room alone.

Gerv, are you talking about the Xbox version or PC? I am rambling on about the Xbox one, obviously.

I didn't bother to look and see if there was a coop. There probally was but I never got a chance to use it.

I don't really have a problem with repetitive levels. But it would be better if the creatures were less predictable.

yeah Doom3:ROE looks quite fun..as for linear, the only game that i found not being linear (which is out, of course) was Far Cry, there was at least a dozen ways to get to this certain place, but in the end, you still had to go through certain triggers to activate the next stage in gaming.

geRV, i heard that the 6800 (NV40) chipset has some glitch, and that the 6600 Chipset is better...(6800NU vs 6600GT)..is that rumor true?

The origional was actually quite revolutionary, one of the origional 3D FPS, right behing Wolf 3D IIRC

Probably referring to the video decoder chip, as far as i know its working but you have to get software from nvidia to make it work or something along those lines. Only useful if you encode videos anyway.

So far i got hell time, it has 2 other powers i can get one of them being invulnerability.

I'm stuck on the second(maybe third) level. I have to find a power cell for the elevator but I can't find one anywhere.

Been wandering around for a half hour at least and I can't find them...

Maybe it'll work if I no clip into the elevator.

Edit: I guess I found them when I was wondering around, because when I hit Insert again I had one... whatever.
