Playing in a squad is so much fun, especially when the teams are even (not even as in number of players but in skill). I just finished playing for about and hour or two in a squad and every guy was a different BF2 character, so you allways had ammo when you asked for it and you allways had a medic when you asked for it. The engineer would lay out land mines when a tank was spotted, me being the sniper would clear the area first and call out tanks, trucks, and enemy soldiers, and so on and so on.
Every one in the squad called everything out. It was awsome, and had a blast playing. The teams were so even that each team had equal number of flags and it seemed like everyone that wasnt even in our squad was helping out.

Good times, I hope everyone has the same experience that I just did at least once. Enjoy BF2 guys and try not to be a lone wolf.

yeah, im a big fan of squad play too ... itd be nice if you were maybe awarded 2x points for squad play and earning teamwork points to promote team play a bit more.

i honestly would rather not even play without them.

Squads are cool when you acually have a good squad that isn't full of spec ops or assault.

PS: 1080 how did you get the commander badge? I can never get 20 commander points per game let alone 40.

I had a few good games as the commander, plus I dont just sit in one spot like alot of other guys do. I move around alot and dont just rely on artillery for kills, plus I try to take out enemy artillery, and sattelite...ect..ect with the artillery. use the supplys to rebuild artillery, and sattelite...ect..ect. I dont know how the points are given out but thats what I usually do. I find it funny as hell when I take out like 6+ people with artillery biggrin:

I dont take commander anymore, unless I notice that no one is being it. To many people have 10K+ stats and they are grabing it right away so I try to stay away from it now.

we had a 5 man squad Yesterday and owned...best squad all 4 maps I even got my highest score ever with 106 pts. rock:

I could never play in a VOIP squad just becuase I would never say anything, I rarley type text messages in games let-alone talk. I'm a very anti-social gamer.

just like me i dont feel the need to hear what people say as i know pretty much what to do .Trying to hear ppl makes me lose a bit concentration thus i get shot by behind or something plus it covers the game sound and theres always a gamer freak screaming or whinning and getting mad at you if you commit a little mistake,as it was real war ...

As for squads itself i fully enjoy it when everybody has its own class,and when people arent selfish,like rushing on a transport near by then rushing at flag without taking you in even if you're 10 meter behind.Some people dont even look at mini-map to spot the green dots...Or simply want to capture alone to get more points than you? w/e

I dont mind sniper squad leaders if there camping outside of a point having there squad spawn on them. It affords the best cammo, and gives them the ability to remove obsticles. If played right its not bad... however no one plays it right, then your squad mates bitch that your a sniper.

Would you prefer i rush in take a gp30 like everyone else then we can run the 6 miles back to this exact same point and try again? For fuck sake man think you fucking cock mongrel... oh, shit... uh... forget i said anything.

gp30 is one possibility out of 100...and if the sniper is GOOD and know whats the goal of the game then its fine...If hes lost on the top of some mountains far of the action id rather suicide.
