Default not booting up - 08-26-2005, 05:01 PM

Is this my motherboard?

cpu does not boot fans and lights work but keyboard and mouse, monitor
does not i would hate to buy a new motherboard if that's not it. Is there any way to test.

This could be your motherboard. The only way to know is to use substitute another motherboard and see if that fixes it.

That's usually a dead cpu. If the mobo is dead then you usually won't get fans or anything since it distrubtes the power. Only way to test it is to put in a new cpu or a new motherboard.

i bet its the cpu. once i came home in the morning, i always lock my computer when i leave it, and came back and couldnt move the mouse, so i rebooted, and it wouldnt boot. after troubleshooting lots of shit, i tried a diff cpu and it worked. cpu was fried or just died.

Yea tried a lot of things and nothing worked so guess its to computer store to by motherboard and cpu. cuss:
