we are animals.
No we're higher than animals. We...

Fuck it, this is going to turn into bible thumping, which I know you wont give a damn about. Lets just say based on your faith, you could be an animal or a higher lifeform.
Honestly, explain to me how we are higher than animals? There are five kingdoms which living things belong to, Monera, Protista, Fungi, animalia, and plantae. We belong to the kingdom animalia, therefore we can consider ourselves animals.
alright, fine. time for some bible thumping.
First, God told us that we have dominion over the animals.
We are also imbued with a soul, which animals are not.
Plus, we are an innovative race.

We're not anything special, we just have a smarter brain, thus a stronger sense of self-awareness. That's the only thing special about us as animals. Just like we have the greatest brains in the animal kingdom, other animals have things that make them greater than us. For instance, a Cheetah can run fastest, an eagle has the best sight, and a dog's nose has the best sense of smell.

We just have the best brains, nothing else really.

Nothing. That is not to say that there isnt. I am sure that God has a marked presense in all extra terrestrial life, some that fully accept him, and some, like our own, who dont. The bible on this planet was written as a document specific to us as a species.

Ok, how bout this, supposedly, in the bible it says that god hates gays. So what does that mean? Well first of all it means god doesnt exhist because if he hates them so much why would he create them in the first place? Second of all, should we then, because some old book told us to, hate gays? I know there are actual verses or whatever that my friends used when we agrued about this, but I dont remember them. Either way, I respect gays as people, and although I may not have the same sexual orientation as them, I understand they can't help themsevles and I respect them for "the content of their character", and what they make of themsevles. If I can do that, surely god can too? Unless of course, god is nothing more than a fabrication of the human mind designed to explain away things we do not have answers to...

Nowhere in the bible does it say God hates gays. He loves them as he loves all his creations. He is just disappointed by their lifestyle choice, and is abhorred by all devious sexual acts.

And before you go off and say "BUT COMATOSE HOMOSEXUALITY ISNT A CHOICE ITS CHEMICOOLS LOL" I'll just say this: There is a difference between having an impulse and choosing to act upon it.

Actually, they dont have a choice. And here are the verses I was talking about.

Leviticus 18:22-23 - Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination. Neither shalt thou lie with any beast to defile thyself therewith: neither shall any woman stand before a beast to lie down thereto: it is confusion.

Leviticus 20:13 - If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.

What say you now?
