Default Making use of the NumPad - 08-27-2002, 12:45 AM

I had an idea, did a search, nothing came up with the search strings I used, so I ask, possible to map a numpad key (say num5) to say something like "EAT SHRAPNEL!" and if so, how?

exactly. The keybind for MOH to type a message is "say ______" so just put bind, then the key, the action (say), then the message.

Thanks for that - I've been trying to work out what the console key command for keypad is because when you change the keys to it it says "keypad 1", but when you try to bind to that it says invalid key.

I think his clarity was actually better, bazooka joe

Um.. to help you guys out a bit, here are the names of teh numberpad keys from my config file, just replace the stuff in the "" with whatever you want to do for each key.

bind KP_HOME "area_clear"
bind KP_UPARROW "cover_me"
bind KP_PGUP "out_my_way"
bind KP_LEFTARROW "nade_cover"
bind KP_5 "cover_you"
bind KP_RIGHTARROW "great_shot"
bind KP_END "thanks"
bind KP_DOWNARROW "shoot_better"
bind KP_PGDN "cowards"
bind KP_SLASH "yes_sir"
bind KP_PLUS "useweaponclass pistol"

Those are the names of the keys from the numberpad that you will use when you go to bind things to them. KP_HOME, KP_UPARROW, etc.

I hope this is helpful to someone

Here's mine. Been this way since the day someone figured out how to bind voice commands.

bind KP_HOME "move_in"
bind KP_UPARROW "hold_pos"
bind KP_PGUP "fall_back"
bind KP_LEFTARROW "regroup"
bind KP_5 "enemy_spot"
bind KP_RIGHTARROW "area_clear"
bind KP_END "cover_me"
bind KP_DOWNARROW "cover_you"
bind KP_PGDN "taking_fire"
bind KP_INS "thanks"
bind KP_DEL "owe_you"
bind KP_SLASH "left_flank"
bind * "right_flank"
bind KP_MINUS "exec yes.cfg"
bind KP_PLUS "exec no.cfg"
