Actually, i always knew that by the way everyone steers clear of the toilet seat but i still build a birds nest. If anything, at least my ass doesn't have to touch a cold seat.
You gotta see me in a public bathroom. I basically touch nothing after i wash my hands. I turn the faucet off with a paper towel and also use it to open the door. My feet also come in handy for handling a door.
They did a study in NYC once on public features like: subway hand straps, escalator hand rails, door knobs, stair rails.....you wouldn't believe what they found on those surfaces. They found fecal matter amongst other things. The main carrier for germs is definately your hands.
