I know that Coleman, the senate released a report last month saying how everyone failed..the mayor, fema, everyone involved. But when the president goes to the media a few days after katrina hits and says "I had no idea this was going to happen", when he infact did and says "we are fully prepared" in the video..you have got to ask some questions, if you don't...well you know the drill.

The President didnt say he didnt know KATRINA was going to hit - they said they didnt know the severity of the damage that had been caused, or that the levee's would neccesarily break. What this video shows is that they were WARNED about the possible damage estimates, and devestation that would happen. Politically - they are still two different situations. And it is very possible the President DIDNT know what would happen. He is the top-admin, NOT a micro-manager. . .thats not the job of the President.

What about the thousands of errors that AP makes - lol
As one of many editors for a spanish newspaper in Tampa, I get direct AP wire for publishing ... and everyday stories must be re-edited cause the work wasn't done right in the first place. No sources are unbiased.

Plus, why are we still worrying about Katrina ... we got another hurricane season around the corner ... let us not waste more precious time finding someone to blame, and rebuild correctly. Florida, gets hit every year with some sort of tropical storm or hurricane, and guess what we just prepare for the next year. Plus, New Orleans is not in an ideal location to begin with, to not expect for something to go wrong is deeply foolish.

Eight Ace the reason I said that because in a recent thread I was told all I did was post stories about Americas misfortunes. If I posted a story about how ralph klein may change health care in the state of alberta, would you now what would happen? Would you know how to debate the issue?

Well throw a topic on the table, I'm willing to debate anything. America is such a easily debating topic because everyone in the world at some time has learnt something about the place..Like I said if you wanna talk about Canada being the worst country in the world be my guest...find the topic and lets go. If I put something down more than half the posters in this fourm will have no idea wtf is going on in the issue. A newspaper article can provide the story, but their is always history behind the issue, history which will be overlooked therefore post may sound stupid. Find something on the clarity act issue..lets see how many people even know what it is. rolleyes:

Sounds good to me too. I was joking about the not knowing anything about the issues. Well, kinda joking, most of the folks posting in here about political issues are posting from a knee jerk reaction and not from knowledge about the facts. of course, that's way humans are wired.
