Lol Milla, I paid $779.00.............$825.74 alltogether including tax.

And I got a free hat from the dealer oOo:

I never priced out any .40's. If your looking at .40's, you might as well go to a .45.

I have been looking for awhile because I am currently working in a bad part of town. Ask Nyck about Saginaw, MI.

CCW is next on the menu.

My Sgt who is a police officer told me to go for a .40S&W because its more powerful than a 9mm but smaller than a .45. I think a .45 might kick my ass to much.

Its crazy how much HKs are. They are assembled here in Sterling, VA which is only 30 mins from me.

My friend got a used Smith and Wesson for 300 lol the handgun i want is damn near 800. I can get an AR15 for that. But i still want that damn USP compact. How is it to shoot?

It is actually quite smooth. It has a light recoil for a .45. Lighter than my buddie's Glock 30. I got some good decent groupings at the range for not being used to it.

Hk's are overpriced because they cater more to military/law enforcement rather than the civilian buyers. That is were they make their money, from what I have read.

The sizes between the .40 and .45 are very comparable. Check the specs on this site:

Also, there is a link on that page of a USP being fired. I'm not sure what caliber it is though.

The most important thing to consider is how it feels in your hand. The .45 feels very natural to me.

Milla, the .40 is probably (in my opinion) the best street defense round. That aside, the only thing left is finding a gun that suits you. All are going to be pricey but hey, ya can't put a price tag on personal protection.

Depending upon how the gun feels and fires for you will determine if it's for you. Take my advise and shoot a few different makers. After that, then decide.
I'll recommend either:

1. H&K USP Compact .40
2. Sig Sauer P-229 or P-239
3. Glock 23 or 27 model

Those would be the only guns in .40 that i would even entertain. You're more than welcome to shoot my Sig P-239 next time you're out on the Island.

Nice! Hopefully I will be there very soon.

Are you stuck using corrosive ammo for 7.62x54R?

What's your favorite to shoot?

To be honest wolf makes some killer non-corrosive 7.62s but as always they are expensive, and I dont reload. I usually just buy some yugo surplus and plink around. Be forwarned, ammo prices for .303 Brit is ridiculous and the supply is drying up. Might I suggest you buy an Enfield 2A, wich is chambered in 7.62 NATO and holds 12 rounds.

My favorite shooter is definatly the enfield with its ergonomics, it just feels right..love it to bits.

Yeah, I can get a crate of yugo 7.62 for $.25 per round here. I have heard of .303 brit drying up, so I will have to search around town to see the prices on it.

91/30 shipping tomorrow morning! rock:
